Exorf is built to keep your photos on your Mac. This page lists everything the app and this website send or store, who handles it, and how to reach us.
Who we are
Exorf is made and sold by 4Studios LLC (“we”). For anything about your data, write to support@exorf.com.
Your photos and files
Exorf reads the folders, drives and devices you choose, on your Mac. Your photos, videos, file names, folder paths, places and other metadata stay on your Mac: Exorf keeps its catalog and previews there and never uploads them. We cannot see your library.
What the app sends
- Update checks. When it opens and about once a day, Exorf asks exorf.com whether a newer version exists. The request carries the app’s version. We count checks per version; we don’t keep IP addresses or any identifier.
- License activation and checks. When you activate a license, and every few hours while Exorf runs, the app sends the license key, a one-way hash of your Mac’s hardware ID (the ID itself never leaves your Mac), your Mac’s model name and the app version. We store these to enforce how many Macs a license covers and to show you which Macs use it.
Exorf on the Free plan, without a license, sends nothing but update checks. You can turn those off in Preferences › General.
This website
exorf.com uses no advertising or tracking cookies. A cookieless counter records page views per page, the site that linked to us and the visitor’s country, without IP addresses or identifiers. Downloads are counted the same way.
When you press a buy button we set one functional cookie, exorf_reveal, for 24 hours, so the confirmation page can show your license key in the browser you paid in and nowhere else.
When you sign in from the link in a key email, one more functional cookie, exorf_session, keeps you signed in for 30 minutes so you can see your licenses and free a Mac. Sign-in links work once, for 15 minutes.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us. From Stripe we receive your email address, name (if you give it), country, the amount paid and a payment reference, which we keep with your license. Stripe’s handling of your data is described in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
We email your license key, and the key again if you ask for it. These messages are sent through Resend. We don’t send newsletters or marketing email.
Where data is kept
Orders, licenses and activations are stored on Cloudflare, which also serves this website. Our processors are Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Stripe (payments) and Resend (email).
How long we keep it
License and order records are kept while the license exists and for as long as tax and accounting law requires. A Mac’s activation is deleted when you deactivate it. Emails we sent are logged for up to 13 months. Page and download counts are kept as daily totals only.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, by writing to support@exorf.com from the address you bought with. Deleting your data ends the license it belongs to. If you live in the EU, the UK or another region with data-protection law, you also have the rights that law gives you, including complaining to your local authority.
